New Yono App is less a brand than a label. ‘Yono’ is the name of State Bank of India’s banking app, it has also been borrowed by dozens of unrelated game apps, and ‘New’ tells you nothing about who made it. That mix is why this one needs more care than most.
The listing describes a multi-game app with a ₹121 sign-up bonus, a ₹100 minimum withdrawal and payouts by UPI or bank transfer. Those are the listing’s own claims. India’s 2025 online gaming law bans online money games, and the same searches that surface this name also surface official warnings about fake YONO APK files.
The listing shows version 1.2.14, a download of about 70 MB, 884K downloads and a 4.1 rating. We could not match it to a store listing or a named publisher, so none of those figures is verified.
Below, you’ll find what the name actually points to, what the official warnings say, a quick way to tell a bank app from a game app and the checks to run before you install.
What Is the New Yono App?
It is not one product. Search for it and you will find State Bank of India’s genuine YONO banking platform, a long list of third-party game apps with Yono in the title and fake APK files that borrow the name. Those game apps come from many unrelated developers, and we found none published by SBI.
The app described on this page belongs to the game group, not the bank. Beyond that it is hard to say anything firm: we could not tie it to a named company, a store listing or an independent review.
What the Listing Claims
Everything in this table is what the listing says. We have not been able to confirm any of it independently.
| Detail | As listed | Can we confirm it? |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Multi-game app | No - the app’s own description |
| Version | 1.2.14 | No - no store page to check it against |
| Download size | About 70 MB | No - no store page to check it against |
| Rating and downloads | 4.1 stars, 884K downloads | No - no store listing or named publisher |
| Sign-up bonus | ₹121 | No - the app’s own claim |
| Minimum withdrawal | ₹100 | No - the app’s own claim |
| Payouts | UPI and bank transfer | No - the app’s own claim |
The Fake YONO Warnings You Should Know About
In March 2026, a news report said India’s PIB Fact Check had flagged a fake message claiming a YONO account would be blocked unless the customer updated their Aadhaar details straight away. The message told people to download an APK file called ‘SBI KYC AADHAR UPDATE’. PIB called such messages fraudulent, and SBI said on its official X account that it does not require customers to download an APK file. The reports describe the same trick spreading through mass SMS campaigns that lead to counterfeit YONO pages and fake installers.
None of that is about this game app, and we found nothing connecting the two. The point is that the same word is used on both sides of the line, so you cannot judge a ‘Yono’ download by its name or its logo.
How to Tell a Bank App From a Game App
| Question | SBI’s YONO banking app | A ‘Yono’ game app |
|---|---|---|
| Publisher on Google Play | State Bank of India | Some other company or individual |
| Where the file comes from | Official app stores or SBI’s own pages | Often an APK from a website, ad or chat link |
| What it does | Banking, payments and investments | Games and bonuses and, in some cases, cash deposits and withdrawals |
| Can you trust the name? | Only when the publisher is SBI | No, the name proves nothing |
Before You Install or Deposit
- Check the publisher name on the store page, not just the title and logo.
- Never install an APK from a link that arrives by SMS, WhatsApp or an ad, especially one that mentions your bank, KYC or Aadhaar.
- Read the permissions. A game does not need your SMS messages, accessibility access or the ability to draw over other apps.
- Do not deposit into an app you cannot verify. Look for a named company and independent reports of real payouts first.
If you have already paid money in and cannot get it out, stop depositing, keep screenshots and transaction (UTR) numbers, tell your bank or UPI app straight away and report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on the 1930 helpline.
What We Like and What We Don’t
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| A multi-game format, so one install can cover several kinds of game | No named publisher, store listing or independent review found |
| A moderate download of about 70 MB, as listed | The name overlaps with SBI’s banking app and with fake-APK scams |
| A low advertised minimum withdrawal of ₹100 | Cash features fall under India’s online money-games ban |
Is the New Yono App Safe?
We cannot say it is. The name is the same one scammers use for fake banking installers, we could not identify who publishes this app, and we found no Google Play listing with a verifiable developer. A file with an unclear origin and a famous name deserves caution before it deserves a download.
If you decide to look at it anyway, treat the install as a test of your own phone’s safety: review the permissions straight away, keep Google Play Protect switched on and never type banking details into it.
Is the New Yono App Real or Fake?
It is unverified. A listing and download links exist, but nothing independent confirms who is behind it or that the numbers on it are true. Do not confuse it with SBI’s YONO banking app, and do not assume it has any connection to the bank.
The Bottom Line
The New Yono App is a generic name attached to a multi-game listing we could not verify. The most valuable thing on this page is the comparison table: if a download uses the YONO name and does not come from State Bank of India, nothing about it should be trusted on its name alone.
How to Download & Install the New Yono App APK
- Tap Download New Yono App APK at the top of this page and save the file.
- If Android asks, allow installs from your browser: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps.
- Open the downloaded file from your notifications or the Downloads folder and tap Install.
- Open New Yono App and follow the on-screen steps to get started.
- Check the wallet or offers section for the ₹121 sign-up bonus, and read its terms first.
Play Safe
- Play only if you are 18+ and remember that online money games are banned in India.
- Coins aren’t cash - virtual coins and rewards usually can’t be withdrawn, whatever the screen shows.
- Keep your account private - never share your OTP, UPI PIN or bank details with anyone.
- Skip MOD APKs - files promising unlimited coins or guaranteed wins can carry harmful code.
New Yono App FAQs
What is the New Yono App?
It is a multi-game Android app listed with version 1.2.14 and a download of about 70 MB. We could not link it to a named publisher, a store listing or an independent review.
Is the New Yono App safe?
We cannot say so. The YONO name is widely used by scammers, the publisher is unknown and the app is built around cash-style deposits. Never install an APK from an unsolicited link and never enter banking details into a game.
Is the New Yono App real or fake?
It is unverified. The ₹121 bonus and ₹100 minimum withdrawal are the listing’s own claims, and nothing independent confirms them.
Is the New Yono App legal in India?
India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 bans online money games and their promotion, and its rules came into force on 1 May 2026. An app built around cash deposits and withdrawals falls on the wrong side of that ban, while a game that only uses virtual coins is treated differently. Check the current law before using any real-money gaming app.
Is the New Yono App the same as SBI’s YONO app?
No evidence connects them. SBI’s YONO is a banking app published by State Bank of India. SBI has warned that fake messages push YONO-named APK files, so only install the bank’s app from official channels.
